That blue rhody is amazing! I have never seen anything like it.

(We expect snow again Sunday and Monday. I keep telling myself that a long, slow spring is better than a few days of higher temps and then back down into freezing.)

I am so loving this thread; all the pictures are a joy to see. Thanks for the eye candy!

Some More Azalea Flowers:

Tusuki no Shimo, and a surprise, this plant has a few semi-double flowers on it. See how the stamen have morphed into petals?

Chinzan, again

The next three came from the same plant, and unknown satsuki grown from a cutting taken from an azalea that belongs to my father. I sent a few of these plants out to some of the members here, so hopefully you will have some nice flowers too.

There are many more variations on the plant, it I get a chance, I will try to capture them with the camera
Ah is this “Dads White” that you sent me? Looks like we’re about to find out! I’m stoked!

Very nice all those satsuki, so much variety! After bloom, do you take them off, or just let them wither and fall?

I let them drop and clean them away with a soft paint brush as the litter up the pot, shelf, etc... I don't buy into the other practices. For the record there are others here that have wonderful plants that do the same.
