@Milly, I'm fascinated! What is this plant? In the photo it looks like the blossom/buds surround the stem -- in two places.

Viburnum opulus in the ground. This is the cultivated species, we call it "Boule de neige", "Snowball":

The wild species doesn't have "snowballs", the flowers are not as beautiful. The wild ones I have have never flowered, but thjat's just fine.

Went to a garden centre today to buy tomato plants, squash, butternut, etc. and saw the "bonsai section".

My! There was a Viburnum opulus. Apparently a cutting, 1 cm wide at the bottom (1 inch is 2.54 cm) and was sold (will it ever been sold) for....... 29.95 €. That's about $39.9, or £26.4 !!!

Total rip-off!

I understand someone who has a business must live, but this is ridiculous, really.
