Ha ha. That's what the tag said. But you're right. What a silly name for a white upright azalea.
I'm guessing Aquilegia, a double form of columbine, the leaves screams columbine, the flower is the less than common double form.Anyone know what this is? This popped up in my yard among some strategic pre-bonsai that I'm growing out in the landscape...the blue flowers come off long stalks about 2-3' off the ground, and the leaves seem to be compound as in the second picture.

This is an , at least, 54 year old bougie in my grandparents yard. The plant is all but neglected but puts on a show every year without fail.

Love it, nicely done. I always thought Pleione would be good as kusamono, out of bloom the leaves are attractive enough. Getting them through winter dormancy has been a problem for me, my climate is cold enough to require protection, I end up keeping them too wet, and they rot, or too dry and they never wake up. One day I'll get it right.Pleonia Ptolima
Not so sure of the spelling but close.
I have had success with damp sphagnum and paper bag in the unheated garage for winter dormancy. I remove from soil and separate bulbs. Restart in the greenhouse in March.Love it, nicely done.
