Hi everyone!

I just want to share picture of a pot a friend of mine made for me.

I made alot of real size drawing of different pots, trying to find one that will suit my trees in the future.
It seems that he decide to steal one of my drawing, helped by my wife and made the pot for me!
Its not "fired" yet but he call me for a beer tonight and the pot was sitting in his shop.
That's his first bonsai pot ever, he is very talented!
The finish is made with a pine cone that he used as a stamp.

An happy guy here!!
Cant wait for repoting my spruce in it!!

Indeed is most EXCELLENT stunningly amazing craftsmanship for a first effort. Seems also personal drawing skill pretty good. As long as curing/firing go well you have new treasure soon🤗.

Got the finished pot today.
Really, really happy guy here, repotting season is just about to begin for me, time to put this pot in use ;)

My friend Patrice is more than pleased from your comments, for a first attempt I also found this pot incredible.
It was also one of the first drawing I made as a pot designer! Maybe not for all taste but I personally love it!

Awesome idea those feet in the middle, what a great way to prevent sagging.

Exactly what I was thinking! I don't have access to the studio kiln as my stuff gets fired so sagging is an issue on larger pots. I think I'll definitely be trying this!

I hadn't seen this before it was resurrected, and I have to say it is an extraordinary pot. Aside from design and fashioning, the pot shows many hours of fit and finish. Obviously this is from a very talented potter that carried over the best of his skills to the creation of this pot. Seriously, there is nothing not to like, it is an AAA.
Anything new from this potter?

What clay is that!?!?

(The piece is spectacularly made... I just want to know about the clay body, also!)

Your friend is definitely talented and it's great that he made a pot for you using one of your own drawings. The pine cone stamp finish sounds really unique and adds a personal touch to the pot. I'm sure your spruce is going to look amazing in it! It's always a pleasure to have friends who support your interests and hobbies.
