I was checking Walter Pall's blog to see how he is doing and glad to know that he is recovering fine.

I also encountered this February 16, 2013 entry. It is so nice, I thought I would share.

Schopenhauer and Gandhi on bonsai wisdom

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
- Arthur Schopenhauer (1788 - 1860)

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
- Mahatma Gandhi (1869 - 1948)

I would have liked to see the bonsai that Gandhi would have created...had he been into bonsai, that is.

I heard that Ghandi chopped that tree down. Isn't that the British Shohin Society behind him in the picture ?
