It's going to be seasonally cool here in Michigan tonight (49F) so I figured I'd bring the Fukien Tea inside for the night and while I had it inside I snapped a few pics of it.
I picked up this fukien tea back around January. At the time it was an upright when I brought it home but I didn't like the looks of it so I repotted it as more of a slant in it's new pot. Like all FT's it freaked out at being moved and repotted and dropped every single leaf it had. It seemed to be taking a while to push out new leaves but after finally being about to move it outside it started growing a new batch of leaves.
It's been getting lots of sun now on the new monkey poles and with some added ferts it now is looking pretty lush and green, has lots of new shoots and flowering as well.
Needs a pruning soon but I'm letting it grow a bit still, I want to try to train it into more of a tree with more defined traditional pads on it. Still a long ways to go but I feel it is starting to show some potential to be a nice tree some day.
