Hi folks,
I was gifted these two Garry Oak saplings from a reforestation project - they were too twisty for them. I think they look pretty interesting and would like some advice on what to do next. I understand from other posts that Garry Oak are tricky.
Thanks, Paul tempImagetVxNc4.pngtempImageDLzq1A.png

They become beautiful bonsai. Just give them time and prune heavily. Their root system is usually very attractive with time.

Good looking young ones🤗. Local hiking hill/area has many of these with great movement, weird twists/turns, inspirational styling one would want to bring home. Not tricky at all. Just do not go postal on roots. Wire in any movement desired as soon as growth hardens off for quickest easiest results as wood is hard to bend when having any growth on it.
