I am fearing ridicule posting this here but I would like to have your thoughts on a gift I received. A person knowing of my olive obsession decided to gift me some seeds they purchased online for me.
I opened the bags found what you can see in the pictures. Petrified/mummified olives
Is there even a chance in heck these would ever germinate? I cracked a couple open to see if I could get at the seed and the whole pit seems to crack with them, I can't eject just the seed from the pit. I googled a bit and people recommend helping nature by nicking the ends of the pits and soaking them in water for 24 hrs. In any case I would be willing to try if there is any hope these might get me somewhere...
I asked of the origins, apparently they shipped from China So my level of optimism is already quite low...
