I recently purchased 'Tremonia' to share a half barrel with a Scots Pine and an Hinoki Cypress,this barrel resides adjacent to my patio doors.
This tree is not especially for Bonsai purposes but will be needing to be pruned at some later date to keep it thriving within the barrel.
It arrived with leaf bundles emerging from lignified wood and so i am wondering if i will see any shoots forming later this year.
I also see it has nodes on it's lateral branches,i assumed these were the terminal points of a previous years growth and so i pruned to within 1/3" of these in the hope that any dieback would be arrested by these nodes.
I scoured the internet for Ginkgo information but found precious little of any worth,maybe you could assist me.
