Gmail spammers

For those of you who wish to register on this site with a gmail account, please have patience. Gmail.com has proven to be the email service of choice for registration bots and spammers. I have been blocking the service from registration on this site, but today I turned off the block just to see if things had gotten better. They hadn't. In 12 hours I received over 20 bad registration attempts from spammers who got past both visual symbol recognition and email confirmation. For the time being I will be switching back to manual acceptance of gmail.com accounts ONLY - in other words, if you want to register with a gmail account you must email the web master. Sorry for the inconvenience, but Google obviously doesn't seem able to block abuse with its new web mail setup.

Good for you Greg! You are fully supported from this end. I don't see the need for folks using g mail when others are far more reliable if one chooses not to use personal/business accounts", maybe someone can educate me.
