Destined to hold a Winter Silhouette, this pot is quite telling of my transition to understanding this kiln. A glaze "test", I wouldn't have "tested", had I known this was going to be the firing where this Cone 8 Blend comes out of Perfect! Still great even with an "imperfect" glaze.

This thing! I think I jumped for joy when this was apparently free of cracks. Then when it tested vitreous, when that 529g weight on the scale after a 24 hour soak is the same as the 529g dry weight in the notebook, I must have hollered an "eff yeah" and probably clapped! Never thought one of the most exciting moments in my life would be moments like that!

You may be familiar with the "hare's fur" glaze combination. I call this one MonkFur cuz it fades into that bit of black just like my Dog! This is that Loclaze with Rutile Straight at Cone8. With no underlayer of Loclaze alone, it is matte, but with the same excellent color.
