Well I am glad you spilled the beans, Im going to have to come now so I can see your tree in person and get to meet you. I was sad that I opted out of the ABS show when I found out you were there.

I would look forward to it. I am going to be there the entire weekend with my wife and I suppose aside from the vendors we should have plenty of time to chit chat. I look forward to meeting you and any other nutters that care to show up. I'm sad you missed ABS as well. Out side of a couple of shots at MABA over the years the ABS show was my first attendance at a National or regional show. I look forward to this one a great deal.

Well I am officially coming. Just purchased tickets and made my hotel reservations. This will be my first time at the National show. Ive been saying that I wanted to go so this was a good kick in the arse to do it.
I look forward to meeting you and your wife and other BNutters.
I'll bump the thread for the event and see who else is coming.

You have been a great help to me and so many others with mugos and scots pines.
I also know the journey you've been through with mugo pines in particular. It will be nice to see your tree in person and see a mugo get some well deserved attention.
I've come across a few BNutters in the last couple of years and I've enjoyed being able to put a face to the name and trees posted here. I hope to meet a few more at the National show.
It wasnt a hard decision, I have been wanting to go and since it is drivable for me, the expenses aren't too bad. I would have had to fly (too expensive) to the ABS show and take too much time off work.

Vance, you bringing Frary with you?
I'm trying to figure out how much room I have available in my car. I'm bringing a shohin box stand, and it has a protective wood box made for it, lined with styrofoam. Great protection, but it takes up a lot of space in my car.
I'm bringing the stand and my shohin trees up from Georgia in my car. My JBP is being brought in from Conneticut. I have a friend who will drive it from Cslifornia to Conneticut sometime in August along with a lot of other California trees. And then he's going to take them to Rochester.
So, I'm taking this opportunity to bring a couple trees home from California. In addition to my JBP, I'd like to bring home my Zuisho. I think it would actually grow better in my climate that in Boon's. I have one at my house now, and it's doing well. So, I'm trying to figure out if I have room.
It's looking like I would have plenty of room if I transported the stand without the protective wooden box. I'm sure I could fix up enough bubble wrap to get it there safely. I think I can, I think I can...

Thanks for the concerns, it's nice to know there are people around here that are concerned by your well being. My wife and I do a lot of traveling. We always go by car. That way you get to see things other people on standard tours don't even hear about. Did you know there are some really interesting geological formations in the middle of Kansas? You don't hear about them or are likely to see them unless you go by car.You was bout to be carrying some shit!

We used to take the California Zephyr to Colorado...and it is better than flying for the same reasons...though, it is a pretty lame trip, the one time I went all the way through to California...that's the cool ride!

If you are going to make the effort to come to one of the shows I am going to be attending please make sure you come and see me. Our fall show has the added feature of Mike Frary who usually comes and keeps me company through the three days. He's a good guy, of course you already know that. I'll also be doing a demonstration that might involve the tossing of root frisbees and making weird noises. That seems to be part of who I am.
