I thought this was an interesting article, with a great looking tree in the end. Wasn't to shabby to start IMO but defiantly improved a lot in the progression.
So is it really 'A' tree? Or a grouping/ forest that was just planted really close and fused together now? Is that how this would of been started; six whips or yearlings planted close?
I assume that would be the technique used. Rockm had one very similar in this Amur Maple thread: http://bonsainut.com/forums/showthread.php?9523-Amur-Maples
If they were planted closer in rockm's forest example they be more like Walters tree.
