As the title says it’s my first I’m pretty excited. Just looking for some in put from the group I guess. I got a couple things I will do to it in the next couple days... like take that big crossing branch in the middle. Do you think that would root from a cutting? Here are the pics ?

Well, it’s worth trying if you’re going to cut it off anyway. This tree appears to have the start of a nice base.

Good luck keeping it happy until your outside weather catches up with the tree’s timing. My maples haven’t started moving at all yet, which I am grateful for. We still have another month of potentially cold weather here.

nice tree!

that looks like one of mark’s! We need to start a progress thread of “look what i did with my mark comstock maple” and just build it up over the next decades

How many of us will be showing his trees in 30 years? ?

@Tbwilson33, looks like you and I got trees from the same batch. Good luck with it!

I thought I’d ask for advise on this thread rather then starting a new one... so my tree is completely leafed out and I’m wondering what Would be the best course of action to getting this tree acclimated to the outside with out shocking it too bad in the next couple to few weeks from now. Also curious to know because I have a couple tropicals I would like outside once weather permits.
