I can't wait to see. The ones I have in the landscaping have gigantic leaves.

The new house has a number of old and declining hydrangea trees. One of them has a large branch of witches booms of tiny leaves. The entire tree, along with a few others, are in decline and would have been removed last year except the witches broom growth entertains me and I have too much else to do.

The mutated branch didn't flower :(

Don't know who told you hydrangea don't make good bonsai. Climbing hydrangea have been used for some time.

Its been almost a year I'd love to see how this tree is going, I have a Hydrangea in my yard I want to bonsai too.
Tree is doing well but didn't flowered for me at all this year. It grew very fast in the summer so I had to keep trimming back.
