Does anybody have any recommendations on grafting knifes? I have a real cheap knife but want to get something nicer. I want to spend 100-200.
I use the breakable disposable blades, ez sharp each time
I know all about that. I tape my thumb with masking tape when I use it now...I have a few "battle scars" from using mine
In my opinion, 100 - $200 is too much for grafting knife! I have 2 Japanese grafting knifes, but I end up using the utility knife like this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-Classic-Retractable-Blade-Knife-10-099/100000053Does anybody have any recommendations on grafting knifes? You can graft within the same genus; and plums, peaches, almonds, apricots, and cherries are all in the genus Prunus.Ya, thats a cool vid Eric... I'd like to have one of those trees... I thought you could only graft plums to plums, apples to apples, peaches to peaches, etc.
Do you want to sell your cool knife?I have a grafting knife... box cutters work better. Go check out the videos about the tree of 40 fruits, that guys is about as good of an expert as you will find on grafting... he uses a box cutter.
Grafting knives are good for... looking cool in your tool kit. Razor blades in a handle large enough to give you some leverage (aka a box cutter) are good for grafting.
It is kind of old and rusty at this point! You probably wouldn't want it!Do you want to sell your cool knife?
