Have any of you ever tried grafting onto Hollywood juniper ? Did it work ?

Why would you graft anything on to torlusa, It is not a very pretty trunked species. It tends to trunk split very easily giving you many trunks on an upright plant similer to thuja.

You would do yourself better by looking for a foemina juniper for an upright form. Better trunk and foliage while stiff and prickly can be trained very easily. A needle juniper variety.

Grafted some shimpaku onto a Hollywood juniper it was the approch graft once they took the growth tripled
The root system on the hollywood juniper is superior.
