I don't know whether my suggestion is correct or not I am still in the learning stage because I only got to know bonsai 3 years ago. My current focus is on learning how to keep plants healthy in various conditions, when plants are healthy they will be easy to shape into anything I also still need suggestions and advice from seniors in this bonsainut forum
