How do you know if a tree has been grafted? Such as a tree grafted to make it a split trunk, or a branch grafted somewhere?

I'm just curious to see if any of my trees was grafted, how it would possibly look if I grafted something, and etc.

I've tried googling, and it seems it only tells me how to graft...not really showing me finished grafting areas. It would be great if I could see some good grafts vs bad grafts.

Boy, I wish there was a "chat" function on this website, so we could all just sit there and ask quesitons and chat, with the forums.

If its a good graft you would only know by the person who did telling you they did so. A bad graft it's the opposite, you can see it a mile away. Bad grafts look like a misaligned fender on a car. The trunk my take a jog or jag that looks odd, often with a overhanging or cliffhanging edge. Sometimes when the upper species grows at a slower rate than the root stock you will see a dramatic difference in thickness immediately at the graft point. Looks like a buff guy with skinny legs doing a handstand
