I want to control a gravity fed water supply with a timer and valve.

As the general sprinkler control valves use the input pressure to aid in actuation they will not work with only 48" of inlet pressure

Suggestions? Thanks

I use these.

It has regular hose connections. Runs off of a battery and has four diff timing zones. I use mine with a hose connection but I am sure you could rig a tank to it and then whatever lines you want to go out. Not sure if any pressure required but I have turned my water supply down really low and it still actuates.
When I am home next week I can test one without water hooked up and see if it still actuates.

For my misting needs (Timing in minutes and Cycles in seconds)

Pretty sure this one actuates without any pressure. I programmed without it being hooked up and watched it open/close.

Dripdepot.com has irrigation supplies for gravity fed systems. I bought my pressure fed system from the and am very happy with the product as well as their service.
