Hi everyone, i own a fee green island ficus and never noticed these light grey dimples in the leaves before, they're on a new GI ficus i just purchased and I'm concerned whatever it is may spread so I've segregated the new plant. Anyone have any idea what this is? A fungus maybe? I've checked super thoroughly for pests and don't see any (i usually have no problem spotting various types.)
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

I have not ever seen that, I’m sorry...

Normally spots (maybe abscesses) that appear in the centers/ meaty parts of the leaves are caused by fungus.. but I have not seen spots like that.

Someone will surely know.

if you suspect fungus, try bonide copper fungicide, works well for me after a few days of spraying.

Looks like a beetle that decided the leaf was too waxy.

I'd remove em and definitely not spray for "suspecting".
