I have a procumbens that I have a question about. I am in Colorado and it has been unusually wet this summer. My junipers are going through another growth spurt right now and I have noticed what looks like green slime oozing from a couple places. The first picture is from the top of the tree on one of the long runners. The area this is in may have been wounded by previous wiring. The second picture is the underside of a lower branch. I have never wired/bent this branch so there hasn’t been any damage to it. It looks like the bottom of the branch just split open with the same green ooze. It looks slimy but is pretty hard. Like I said it is going through another growth spurt right now, could this be sap? Fungus? I have never seen this before and am a little concerned. 9D1C6DDD-D1BF-4A12-9F82-4E7B88A6C4FE.jpegA6017334-6A3F-4A34-BDCC-2E77C1127DC0.jpegCBA7D567-4307-4F0D-9C63-FCEFB11BA65B.jpeg

Callus tissue from the look of it. Pretty decent healing response from this tree. Nothing to worry about.
