"Green Tech" akadama

Bought some "green tech" akadama as an impulse buy while visiting H&F imports. Have any of you heard of it?

How does it feel? Is it hard or soft? I have never tried it.

I haven't messed with it yet so I don't know, but Andy at H&F Imports said it is very hard. The bag says it is fired to 800°C.

I'd read that the Akadama that has been subjected to a firing process is going to be more resistant to breakdown than a non-fired material.
