I was just wondering if anybody had any kind of guide for building decent growboxes. I'm planning on using 2x4s or just breaking up a pallet and using the wood. Any tips would be appreciated

2x4's are probably over kill. I used old 1x6 deck boards from my deck renovation which did the trick just fine so far.

Use soffits from HD. Pre cut/screened $1.55 each. Last forever. Paint w/johnsons water seal.20200222_073631.jpg

They are used to vent the attic. They are usually in the lumber department. Two different sizes.

I have made a lot of grow boxes over the years, and the only ones that are still around (not rotten) are made with scrap plastic composite decking. It’s heavy, but lasts forever. I’m a potter, and I finally got around to making ceramic training pots for myself this year.
