Growing Bridges

These bridges are grown by ficus elastica by generations of families. I am new to bonsai but I think it would be an awesome project to replicated these structures, although some may not consider it traditional.

Either way, I figured some of you would find this very interesting.

Interesting. I found a bunch of bridge/raft style bonsai in a post on some other forum recently. Pretty cool stuff. I imagine using a ficus you could come up with some neat penjing similar to that captured in the image you presented.
