I collected a few dozen tamarack seeds from it's cone. I've grown a lot of decidious from seeds, but never conifers.

I read that I can plan these without making them go through a dormancy period? True?1500855408341198774367.jpg

That's what I can read on the website of my usual online seed store, so yes.

I would wait til spring as theres not much growing season left. Or sow them into grow bed this fall. I started some this winter under lights they dont do well that way, they need, the outdoor elements to thrive... they have and still are not that healthy or strong they did get a little better once I got them outside this spring but i lost a bunch, and the rest dont look great either. Perhaps if I can scroinge some seeds this fall, I'm going to tryn sow them into grow beds and let nature be nature. Some things just dont like human manipulation I guess

Alright thanks for the heads up. I've grown a lot in the green house over winter, but it's good to know these won't do well
