The scroll is too small! Lol!

I'd want to go into spring with the apex in the negative so your lower branches can catch up.

I'm eyeing that tallest brown section for removal.

So this thing actually had some issues, all the leaves got infected with black mold, i had to defoliate the entire tree about 5 months ago and its been leafless since then. It was also repotted at that time so i figured it had no chance but it is obviously quite resilient.

The balance is definitely going to be way off this year but i dont want to be aggressive with removal at its current point either.

I agree though!

Amen. I am in a very similar boat.

I was wondering if you were keeping that big brown one, to shade the "keeper" apex growth, to slow it down, and allow full sun to your lowers, thereby utilizing all health possible to bring what balance you can in these stages.
