Nice day here, little early for repot but gotta do what ya gotta do when you got time... so I pulled one of these guys out of its flat after two seasons of growth. This one was in the napa de as it's soil, roots look fairly good although this tree had the smallest amount of top growth of the 320200215_135243.jpg20200215_135827.jpg

Awesome! How many of the theme were trunk chopped previous season and how many while collecting?

Rough year for these last season. I think between my overhead watering and a rather rainy summer they weren't happy. The really slanting one didn't wake up this spring, the slightly slanting one woke up but it's weak growth got ate by an inch worm and did it in. The one I had placed in a bonsai pot is alive and doing well. None of my thread grafts lived. I decided to take the leader back today. Hoping for some buds to pop near the cut to train up. Fingers crossed!
