Where are you guys finding 1/16" hardware cloth? I'd even be happy with 1/12".

I can find it as stainless steel mesh but it's somewhat pricey sold by the square foot.

Making my own soil sifter. Using 1/4", 1/8", 1/16" screen sizes.

Look for the Aluminum auto mesh people use for bumper cutouts and grills. Its typically diamond shaped and holes are slightly larger than 1\4 which allows you a lot more useable soil when sifting.

Home depot has it in various mesh sizes I believe... it's been over a decade since I last bought some and my roll is almost gone.
