They are very tolerant of most conditions above 40F and protected from wind/arid conditions. The owner had been kept this tree inside, far from a window for over a decade so it became weak enough to lose some branches. Too much intense sun and I find the foliage will turn light green/yellow. I aim for morning sun, afternoon shade. I think the original Hawaiian grower, Dave Fukumoto, develops his trees in high humidity partial to full sunWhat type of outside lighting do they require?
