Hawthorn

wow

Smithy, where did that come from? What a transformation. The difference between what you started with & what your left with blew my mind. I love Hawthorn, & I just love what you've done here. Thanks for sharing it.

I was hoping you would share this here, what does the pot look like?

I like this one too...highly geometric branch design. Did the top die back, leaving you with the shorter stump,or was that the plan?

I bought this in an auction . It was like it was in the first pic. I think the top had died back and the owner and then sprouted from the bottom . It was £40. I love getting material like this as i don't have to put the effort in of digging it and waiting for it to recover.

Here is the pot Judy . It has been shaped to make it not look so wide and long.

It will be exciting to see it in it's new home, looks like a good fit.

Wow, great job with that tree. You really know how to work with what you've got. I saw the first pic and though "oh bummer, the whole top died back", but then you really took advantage of what was there. Great tree! I'm going to be collecting a few hawthorns on my property in the spring so I'm trying to look up as many examples of other peoples work as I can, nice to see one a little different.
