I thought I had posted this in the past, but I guess not. I received it as a gift for styling a tree for a friend. It was in a large mica training pot. I reduced the heavy roots some, as well as removing some dead ones. I then shoe horned it into this pot for further development. Oh yeah, I also reduced the top quite a bit last week to introduce some taper.

I really like that first image.... I presume that is your intended front (they don't always fit like we want at first) ...... looks really good... should develop well for you... :) :)
 
Yeah the first image is closer to what I would like as a front. For now, I'm not to concerned. Hopefully I will get a cleaner flatter root pad to work with for next time. The pot was one I had laying around, and the tree barely fit. I was content to just get it tied in, otherwise it would have been back into a way oversized mica container. Thanks for looking.
