Northeastern and mid Atlantic folks complaining about the heatwave... 🤣 and July don't look any different. Blame @markyscott for the comment about the mild summer.

MY REMEDY FOR THE SUMMER HEAT WAVES….always experimental phase🤔

I decided to lower the fertilizer salts in my nutrient resevoir……Much more water uptake and plants will cool effectively!!!

.6 ec……very early veg strength……been doing this for about a week now….. and never use higher ec than 1.2 year round….ever!

Increase fulvic acid and other natural chelators of mineral ion…….and of course a constant supply of kelp in the nutrient also.

Make sure my ph meter is accurate and lower nutrient solution ph to the minimum of 5.5 to increase metal ion availabily like iron and such for photosynthesis since lower overall salts……..I usually maintain 6.0 to make up for the possible sway of meter readings I may get😉

And of course enjoy the pure water that rain is!!!
Only the minerals needed are added….. no more.

The natural chelaters are probably important or I may see signs of nitrogen deficiency……have not yet…….this would be easily corected.

The zelkovas seem to be fine also…….full sun about 7 hours.
Fun today experimenting like this…….very hot…upper 90’s F

Nice setup, and nice post! Had me reading and learning new things about electrical conductivity.
