Hello at last!

I've been visiting to search forum topics, often/long enough that it really is time to say hello -- and thank you for sharing so much knowledge, experience, and encouragement!
Longer-term goals: forest plantings and penjing
Short-term goals: get plant material* and keep it alive
Immediate goal: raid my toolboxes etc. for starter tools!
*candidates in my yard include lantana, powder-puff, confederate jasmine...
We'll see what happens!

Excellent tip, hadn't thought of all the spare nail clippers, although kitchen shears and ex-surgical scissors were on my list, along with an antique penknife. Various craft caches will be raided, too.
