Hello all, I'm New here and also New to art of bonsai. I have a 7 year old Chinese elm that I received a few days ago. Just ready things on here the last few days seem like they will come in handy. Will post some pictures later. Look forward to reading and learning more from you seasoned vets!

good luck, I just got my first bonsai too so I won't be much help. You should post a picture when you get a chance.

Welcome to both of you. Lots of good advice here if you're willing to dig to find it. Hope you each have success with your new trees.

Hi there!

I love the 2nd one, is it also an Elm?
I don't have any elm but the general consensus is that they are very though little guys, you should be able to 'keep them alive' and more! ;)

welcome but be aware: bonsai are addictive! :)

The second one is a junper! Not really sure its origin, but have been looking to narrow that down. I think its chinese though!
