Help ID this species!

Good evening,

I recently dug up this tree from my yard because it was a hideous round butt like blob and I decided to try to do something with it instead of simply discarding it, please be kind as I am brand spanking new to bonsai. Can anyone identify this species and provide insight into training, feeding, and overall care?

It’s a very small, dense, and round tree. It giggled when you slapped it... seriously...
