I made several cuttings last summer & a couple of them I forgot to label. This is the only one I'm in doubt about. I can't tell if it's one of my buttonwoods or ficus. Can anyone confirm? Thank you.
I'll cut a little bit & see what comes out!I do not know buttonwood but ficus are quite easy to distinguish by the new terminal buds enclosed in a sheath that drops off as the leaf unfolds. Ficus also have milky latex sap so if you cut a leaf off it should be easy to tell (assuming that button wood does not have latex?)

Can you guys please identify this plant
Can I take a holly cutting and use it as a bonsaiHard to say so far: if the leaves are opposed, could be Acer tataricum - but I see maples everywhere, it could be hundreds of other plants !
Holly is regularly available at nurseries in bonsai sizes. They are sold at Christmas time as inferred houseplants, but are really outdoor shrubs/trees.Can I take a holly cutting and use it as a bonsai
You need more expertise in growing easy stuff before you attempt hard stuff. The smaller the plant, the more difficult it is to nurture. This is especially true of cuttings. How can I take a cutting from a pine tree for a bonsai ( If i want to)
