It's a tropical, definitely not a schefflera. Looks like a fig... but not. I'll have to dig into this a little further.

@CrooksFam132 You are posting from Africa? Can you give us a little more info about where you picked up the tree - is it a native - etc? This is starting to look like an interesting journey!

I believe everything in the genus Ficus has alternate leaf arrangement - these appear to be opposite, so I think we can rule out that option.
I don’t recognize it at first glance . . .

It has a camellia look about it... but it is really leggy like it would normally like to be in much more sun but it has been shaded too long....
