seeking some creative ideas for one of my premna. the trunk is strong and muscular but also soft and feminine. clearly the trunk is the focal point with developing branching and foliage to play a complimentary role. for the most part, branch/foliage growth to the far right is what I want. the proper branches are coming, ramification is increasing , leaf size dramatically shrinking and the foliage pads becoming more defined. for the future, I may want to create more negative space and make the overall image in this area more airy and whimsical like roberts work. any suggestions are appreciated.

my real dilemma deals with where and how much branching and foliage should I develop in other parts of the tree, to highlight but not overpower the trunk, while making for a better overall image?

one extreme would be to eliminate all foliage save for what exists at the far right. this would create a minimalist image and strongly showcase the trunk. another choice, which is what I am currently leaning towards, is to develop small airy pads in the areas where I am allowing branches to form to breakup the dominant line of the trunk. what do you think? virtuals would be helpful

best wishes, sam
