Help with my juniper pine

I got this a year ago... I live northern wi. zone3. I kept it in our unheated, enclosed breezeway this winter and watered it off & on. Am I doing things right? This is my first winter with the bonasi. Thanks for your help!

First, that's a juniper and NOT a pine. It is probably Juniperus procumbens.

Second, go to your local library and check out a bonsai book or three, and read about bonsai before you do anything.

Third, the tree belongs outdoors.
