20130305_183358.jpgThought id show the tree I brought to Epcot. Its a Neea buxifolia. This one of only a few of my personal collection. It needs a few seasons to fill in, but because it is my personal tree and no longer for sale I thought id show it , then show it again in three to five years to show the progression. Maybe even show it periodically at local shows in between. I have a youtube video on the before and after of this tree.

Some say it would better in a slightly smaller glazed pot. Im not against it, but this was a Samuel Clemons pot I got for my future personal trees and I think it compliments the deadwood, although similar. Thoughts?

Very nice. I was there last year for the show. Fantastic display of trees.

Very nice tree. I like the use of carving to keep the large trunk in good proportion to the smaller one. I think the pot size is just right, but it's the large lip that makes it seem out of proportion. And that could very well change as the tree fills out. Thanks for sharing.

Great tree. I really love the trunk with its' carving, and the trees' silhouette is perfect. Great attention to detail. I agree with Stan's comments concerning the pot. I can see this tree in a heavy oval with little to no lip, or perhaps a rectangle with rounded edges. I think it would look good in a glazed pot, too, but unglazed is certainly appropriate and works fine in my eyes. Congrats on getting to Epcot.

I really like the small third trunk on the right. It's such a nice touch to the entirety. I like the unglazed. I think unless it was a very non glossy glazed it would be too distracting for the calm feel of it.
Very nice.

Jason...
Can you post a pic of your tree at eyelevel ???

Cause I gotta say that when I was viewing your tree at Epcot, I didn't
even notice the pot's big lip... I think it is the angle of the pic... Looking
down on it, It's now drawn to your attention...

Your tree was awesome by the way !!!, I loved the carved out trunk...
:)

I know this pic isn't the best... But viewing
your tree at the appropriate height... The pot
actually look pretty good.
