If the weather is too hot, then yes. Spring it is.

But I've done a few scots because the weather forecast predicted rain for the first time in three months.

I collected and repotted a few loblolly pines during our 100+ heat waves this year. In grow pots and baskets, not bonsai pots. The collected trees that made it past 2 weeks have all lived and thrived, same for repots.

BUT, they're all under 4 years of age. I wouldn't try it with anything old or valuable.
