I wired the lowest branch down to create some negative space and I felt like it would even out the design some. I know my wiring wasn't perfect I since removed the wiring after it did hold its shape after a few weeks. Please forgive not anchoring the wire correctly and the loose wrapping.

I also have a photo of it this morning the other photos were before its spring foliage came in.

It is a satski azalea I think the variety name is yukinko. The tag was hard to read.

I am really looking forward to flowers this year as I didn't get to see them last year looks like they will be white!

Two thoughts when looking at your photos.

Deeper and slightly wider pot. Azaleas are only put in small pots for show… and not as much as they used to be. To be strong on to the tree needs a stronger root base.

Work hard to get the tree to backbud well this year

Styling… once the tree gets sufficient backbudding, pads can be started. Branches slightly, yet progressively higher compared Be sure to keep the top strong, no really hard cut backs up top. Figure this into your finally design.

My thoughts are crudely shown. Explanation. To me……The one low branch on the right is arrow straight. It sticks out as to horizontal. Other branches have a curvature to their shape. That right one, in my view, needs to head slightly upward and have a bend in it. Just a thought. However….it may be bent already and I just can’t see it in the photo.

Nice shape to the trunk of that azalea.
I agree with the points above.

Get some fertilizer for acid loving plants. When the flowers are done, cut the seed pod left over off. You dont want it putting energy into that. You want it growing more foliage
