I can't seem to find much info on this site. Anyone using this type of set up for wintering tropicals? Pictures? Problems? Best places on the net/dealers to buy from? Thanks for the info!

I have never used HID lighting for indoor plants. However I have a fair amount of experience using them with salt water reef aquariums. There are three primary types of HID lighting - sodium, mercury vapor and metal halide. While only metal halide has the spectral intensities strong enough for reef use, high pressure sodium is often used for indoor greenhouse purposes - hydroponics and the like. Here is a gardening site that I have purchased greenhouse equipment from in the past. Sadly I can't help you with more specific information unless you have some general questions.
