Hi guys. Had this little hinoki for about a year. A few weeks back we had 15 deg temps down here in Houston Once we hit below 30 I brought some trees indoor for a few days until the storm passed here. I did keep the hinoki outside while the temp was 30-32 but from what I've researched it should be able to handle that fine. Our temps here now are around 55-78 fluctuating. We're coming into early spring so the trees are in full sun when it's out The last week one noticed some yellowing of the tips on the hinoki. A lite yellow color also to some pads of foliage. This is not on the inside of
The older foliage but on the newer froth do it worries me. Perhaps Jist from the cold , or maybe the roots are damp? Any advice welcome please. Heck maybe it's not big but winter color on a hinoki , I don't know. 43B65228-6188-4569-BEE7-F0A5772C6DBB.jpeg

On at least some Hinoki varieties, the creamy coloration on new growth is a sign of health and vigor.

Looks fine to me, some of what you are seeing is part of the reproductive system; polen cones I believe. Any other discoloration may be from the exposure to the extreme weather and the trees normal bronzing response to inclement weather.
