Actually it was more of a "brush pile dive" but dumpster diving sounds more fun. This was pulled off the same bench in our greenhouse as a juniper I'm also trying to keep ticking. Fortunately I'm not near as stressed about this as I am about the juniper. I don't know that I'd call it "interesting" movement in the trunk but at least there is some movement. And yeah, zero branching. That may not be a bad thing though as I've potted it at a more severe angle (approx 15 degrees right)and packed sphagnum moss between the trunk and pot. Hoping to expose some of the roots on the left side after they develop a bit more and having aerial rooting on the other side to balance the image out. Not much to look at now but it might have a future if I don't screw it up too bad and if all else fails I'm sure Mr. Chris will be delighted with the "spatial relationship device". :D
