This is a bougainvillea that I really liked the trunk on, it's thick and has those large, funky knots on either side of its base - problem is that there's like ~10 shoots on it and I just cannot imagine what direction to take it... so far my best idea is to simply remove *every* shoot except for the ones on the top ~1" of the trunk, so all the growth gets directed there, and have a thick top on that trunk (maybe leave the growth on the side-trunk, keep cutting it back so it's eventually just a tiny, single pad that's very dense/ramified)

I'm planning to do...whatever ends up getting done!....in early spring, as soon as I see growth start picking up - any suggestions at all on how to handle this less-than-stellar stock would be greatly appreciated! :)
