Hey,

I have this hornbeam, repotted it in pre-nursery pot 20 days ago. Kept it in a green house for a bit after repot, now outside.

Today it started showing some brown spots on leaves (see photos attached)....what can it be?

Also I noticed that there is a branch that is drying out (photo), but at the same time on top there is a new born leaf...so I don't understand what can it be! Any idea?

Last thing...I also notice this strange thing at the beginning of the trunk...is it fungus or something? (As well photo attached)

Thanks in advance

Regards

Dead tip on small twig, looks like rodent damage at base of trunk with some callus and some sap secreting, leaves show some type of abiotic stress. Leave it to recover, would not treat for anything at this point. Morning sun, avoid heat of the day for a bit longer and keep the tree from drying out but not too wet!

Cool thank you very much!

was giving sun only in the morning, and I will keep doing that. Trying to keep it in shade and if too hot bring it inside? What do you think?
