One More, the most extreme example of a softwood used in Bonsai,
local willow ficus.
Grown to 3 inch trunk in this pot - 1 inch depth.

We believe that once a tree can withstand 30 deg.C [ 86 deg.F ]
It can be grow down here in the grow trough to - up
to 3 inches in a year.[ winter - into the fridge for 2 months at crisper cold ]
As our temperatures are mild especially during the
rainy season.

Smoke, @markyscott claims to have one bigger than mine. But then again, he’s in Texas. They claim everything’s bigger there! He does have some big trees, though. He’s a big dude.

Funny how you complain about sub par show trees, ask for trunk size on finished bonsai and then your first tree you post has big wire on in the apex lol.
Just out of curiosity, would you exhibit that firethorn? Why (not)?

And would you display this one? Why (not)?

If you would, in which room would they be put?

The trunks on both are very fucking nice, that has gotta be said! These questions are not judgemental btw, just out of curiosity..
