How can you handle the large bonsai?

If I use lazy susan, I just place the flat tile directly on the lazy susan. It should be very stable with the heavy pot on.
Same here. Just sit the tile on top of the bearing. Weight of the tree on top is enough to keep everything in place. Just need to choose one that's wide enough to be stable.
I haven't had any problem with rust. Many of these bearings are housed in Aluminium so that won't rust. My earlier ones are cake decorating turntables which are plastic housing but they don't take much weight. Maybe the ball bearings might rust but not quickly.
The biggest problem I have is grit getting into the workings which can make it harder to turn but that can usually be washed out or blown out with compressed air. Add some more light oil and good to go for another 3 -5 years or until some more sand gets in.
